Books I Am Reading

Yes, I said books. Plural.

I think it may be my ADD tendencies that cause my odd reading habits. But at any given time, I'm usually in the middle of several books. I switch based on mood or just read whichever book is closest.

Here is my current list:

•Fablehaven, Rise of the Evening Star by Brandon Mull
•Earthborn by Orson Scott Card
•The No Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley
•Persuasion by Jane Austen
•I Hate It When Exercise Is the Answer by Emily Watts
•The Frozen Kingdom, poems about a breast cancer journey by Gail G. Schimmelpfennig
•An Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison

So, what about you? What are you reading? And do you have any odd reading habits or do you read one book at a time like a normal person?

I'm waiting for the book The Summerhouse. It's my book club book. Praying it gets here soon because I just finished Ender's Game, something about Hashbrown Winters and a book about a guy selling all his stuff and taking off around the world for a year.

I read a few books at a time also. I read really fast though so I'm usually done with a book in a day but if it's long or I'm really busy I sometimes have to put them aside. If that's the case I usually have some other books that are short essay books or poetry that are easy to pick up in the middle. I might also be reading a couple things in very different genre's. Sometimes you need to put down horror to have a little comedy when it gets too dark!

I can only keep up with one book at a time.

I just finished a Mary Higgins Clark mystery and currently I am reading a book called Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber.

I just bought 4 books off half.com that I have heard great things about, The Uglies, The Pretties, etc.

Jamie, Kaitybean has been reading the "Uglies" series and has been loving it. She just finished the third book "Specials" and is waiting to read the 4th. She keeps telling me that I need to read them.

Sara, I'd love the title of the book about the man who sold his stuff and traveled around the world. I may have already emailed you about it. I know I *meant* to, but sometimes it can be hard to keep track of which of my good intentions I actually follow through on.

Heather, I think you should definitely read the Uglies series. I read them earlier this year and enjoyed them.

I usually read 2-3 books at a time. Currently am reading Jesus the Christ and The Time Traveler's Wife. This is my second time through The Time Traveler's Wife, I wanted to read it again before seeing the movie. Next up is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

I have a list about 200 long of books I want to read (literally). I'm on Goodreads.com and get book recommendations and ideas from friends/family who are on that site as well.

I just finished reading:
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

I have in my backpack:
Fishers of Men vol. 1 of the Kingdom And The Crown series by Gerald Lund (Which I've read twice before)
My Sister's Keeper
by: Jodi Picoult

I always bring a book or books with me to work, but for some reason I hardly read at work. (With the exception of the Twilight series which somehow kept my attention even at work)
Then I go home and when I should be sleeping at 6AM I stay awake, sometimes for hours reading the same book I could have read all night while I had to be awake.

I just finished Persuasion, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Book of a Thousand Days, and Mr. Darcy's Story, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. The first two I have read multiple times because I love them so much. I am trying to find another good book to read. We'll see how it goes.
